ABOUT

Their first project began on December 3,1995 on the banks of the Dungu River in northeastern Zaire, where Al Boudreau and Barbara Buls were wed in the presence of 200 local people and 150 hippos. Their union led to a musical marriage that evolved naturally into their first CD, "TWO SING FOUR-AND MORE" which featured the late, great HERB POMEROY on trumpet and flugelhorn, JACK SENIER-piano, MARK CARLSEN-bass, AL BOUDREAU-drums/vocals and the wonderful vocal stylings of BARBAR BOUDREAU, recorded three years later on their anniversary. Their vocal duets create momentum, and the music takes on a life of it's own. Together with BOBBY TRAVIS (1997) THEY PERFORMED some of their swinging vocal arrangements in a special moment with the ARTIE SHAW BAND, led by DICK JOHNSON in Florida. Their regular Sunday concerts have featured jazz artists GRAY SARGENT ( Tony Bennett's guitarist ) GREG HOPKINS ( Buddy Rich band trumpeter) TONY ZANO , TED CASHER, JOE BUCCI, JEFF STOUT and others as well as two performances at SCULLER'S JAZZ CLUB in Boston with HERB POMEROY , DICK JOHNSON and a guest performance by REBECCA PARIS. Barb and Al can be found playing throughout the Boston and Northshore area of Massachusetts. In October of 1998 they took a band to France to perform two concerts in Claude Monet's village of Giverny. It is their hope and goal to continue to share America's first original art form of JAZZ with audiences across the planet.
